  • To start, lie down on your back and keep your hands by the side of your body.
  • Now, bend your right knee and thigh and bring it towards your chest. 
  • Interlock your fingers, clasp them around your right shin and pull your knee closer to the chest.
  • Now, take a deep breath, and exhale by lifting your head and shoulder up. Bring your nose closer to the knee.
  • Keep your left leg straight and remain in the final position for a few seconds.
  • Inhale slowly, and then return to the starting position and relax the body.
  • Repeat the asana 3 times each with both the legs.

Supta Pawanmuktasana: Stage 2

Follow the below steps to perform Stage 2 of Leg Lock Pose:

  • Remain in the initial position, bend both knees together and bring your thighs closer to the chest. 
  • Now, just as in Stage 1, interlock your fingers and clasp the hands on your shin bones.
  • Inhale deeply and exhale while raising the head and shoulders; try to place the nose on the knees.
  • Hold the final yoga pose for a few seconds and then slowly lower the head, shoulders and legs while inhaling. 
  • Repeat the asana 3 times.
